Aaron Jafferis @ The Tamworth Lyceum
Co-hosted by the Tamworth Arts Council a local non-profit whose mission is to expose this amazing community to diverse cultures and art forms. The performance at the Tamworth Lyceum is part of a week long artist residency that runs from January 8th through January 13th.
Aaron Jafferis is a hip-hop poet and playwright whose honors include a Creative Capital Award, Richard Rodgers Award, Sundance Institute / Time Warner Fellowship, NEFA National and a MacDowell Fellowship. "I write to link my personal experience with whats happening in the world." Says Jafferis in a pointed mission statement on his website, "I want to use my plays to build a social justice organization that supports life-changing educational experiences for young people."
Snacks, small fare and beverages will be available for purchase.
Tickets are by donation, please give what you can for entry!
