Battle of the Bands! with the Orpheus Supertones & Uncle Henrys Favorites
Two great bands return to our stage for another lively evening of old-time fiddle tunes and songs presented in the style found on the old 78-rpm records. Orpheus Supertones (Walt Koken on fiddle and banjo, Clare Milliner on fiddle, Pete Peterson on banjo and guitar, Kellie Allen on guitar, and Hilary Dirlam on bass fiddle) are loved by audiences and dancers for their entertaining stage show, foot-stomping music, and ability to have a contagious good time. Uncle Henry's Favorites, one of America's great string bands, hails from Charlottesville, Virginia and performs their own special version of old-time music. Jim Childress and Pete Vigour take turns with the fiddle and guitar, Ellen Vigour plays the mandolin and calls the dances, while Mark Beall provides the bass fiddle accompaniment.
