5PM SEPTEMBER 29th
The Screening Room 127 E. Congress
NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE
2012, AUSTRALIA, 85 Min Exploitation Directed by Stephen Amis Cast: Jim Knobeloch, Serge De Nardo, Angelo Salamanca, Jak Wyld
File this film in schlocky, tongue-in-cheek, sci-fi, b-movie nazi-exploitation from the land down under.
In 1943, five US soldiers are recruited by the OSS for a time travel mission to save the world from the tyranny of Hitler's 25th Reich. Introducing a crazy new genre mash-up from Australian director, Stephen Amis. A WWII sci-fi adventure full of time-travel, duplicitous Nazi robots, faulty spaceships and giant mega-rama. Based on the classic novella, 50,000 Years Until Tomorrow by J.J. Solomon, and with a screenplay penned by Amis, David Richardson and Serge DeNardo, this movie has pure popcorn B-movie flair and attitude. We aren't denying that its b-movie bad, but die-hard fans of the genre will appreciate and embrace.

Puzzleface - click the title for more info 2011, CANADA, 18 Min Horror Short Directed by Spookey Ruben Cast: Ken Russell, Denis Bélanger, Rodrigo Gudiño, Spookey Ruben
Where can you find Rue Morgue founder Rodrigo Gudino praying to Ken Russell before being murdered by a man with a puzzle piece for a face? In the same short film that features Voivod's Denis 'Snake' Belanger as a mad scientist, of course, and a killer soundtrack that includes Voivod performing Missing Sequences from their classic album Nothingface. Puzzleface is a hilarious, surreal and eccentric mash-up of cult-horror-comedy genres, and yes, that is the Ken Russell in is last acting role.
