Porchfest Goes Indoors with Muddy Ruckus and Gin Daisy
Porchfest Goes Indoors opens a three-concert series on January 7 with Muddy Ruckus from Portland, Maine, and Boston-area band Gin Daisy playing original and classic Americana music.
The quartet Gin Daisy describes its bluegrass/swing music as "a cocktail of Americana that's behind the times by about 100 years." Band members bring banjo, flute, guitar, vocals, fiddle, mandolin, and bodhran into the mix. Muddy Ruckus aims for a full rock band sound, spicing its guitar and percussion with "the mud of the Mississippi River where I grew up," according to band member Ryan Flaherty.
