The regional Burning Man community event will take place for the 4th time to provide a magical space where Burners from all over the world can come together to celebrate and reconnect.
Whether youll join us from the future or travel there from the Imperial past, our focus is on the 10 core principles self-expression, self-reliance, community, no commerce, leave no trace, participation, inclusion, gifting, co-operation and immediacy.

Please note: EVERYONE who wants to participate in the Vienna Burning Ball needs to buy a ticket, including artists, performers, DJs, organizers and volunteers!

The Vienna Burning Ball is organized entirely by volunteers!
Although we charge for tickets to cover our costs and provide art grants, we do not make a profit and even the organizers pay for their tickets like everyone else. Join us and be part of the futuristic magic!

Photo Policy
To be able to provide a safe space for everyone where you can be whoever you desire to be and to be able to lose yourself in the moment, there will be a strict PHOTO POLICY.
NO PHOTOS and NO VIDEOS are allowed during the event. But dont worry, there will be official photographers to take the best possible picture of you in your futuristic dress (with your permission of course). Those photos will be published on the VBB facebook page after the event. Dont want to ask a photographer cause you just want to fool around with your friends? Well, then, feel free to freak out at our photo booth area.
Everyone has the inalienable right to his image and not to be shown on other peoples photos or videos. RESPECT PRIVACY.
ART THEME
2077. Empress Sissi has been cloned and is back, strolling among commoners, but her genes have been spliced with those of Baron Munchausen and integrated with synth-neurons from the Terminator. Are androgynous androids playing with electric sheep? Join the Meta-Prater and find out for yourself.
The Meta-Prater opened in 2071 when the nearby new fusion research reactor went über-critical and created a spacetime reality warp within a few km of the site that opened channels between the past, the future and virtual layers of existence, engulfing the old Prater. Once declared safe by the authorities, the Viennese creatives were quick to grasp on the infinite sensory possibilities afforded by the communion of parallel universes and have been frolicking there ever since.
Is that Johann Strauss playing a synth-guitar while Sigmund plugs psychedelic visuals directly in your sensory nerves? Have you met the cute waltzing and polkaing robot? What enhanced bionic implements hide under those frilly lacy gowns?

We leave no trace: if you bring it to Futuristic Funfair, take it home again. Be it art, UFO, your pet alien or a cigarette butt: you bring it, you take it with you.
Treat the venue with due respect, and treat each other with respect. This is a private party. The stories happening at the Ball are ours alone.
