A lush tenor with soaring melismas in his individual passages Los Angeles Times.

"He's great!  It's an honor to sing with him! Maxine Jones, EnVogue

Join Bay Area vocalist Clif Payne and the Monte Skelton Band for a night of holiday songs.

Clif Payne was born in Harlem and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. He grew up in nearby Evansville Indiana.  His eclectic vocals span the genres of jazz, R&B, gospel, blues and beyond.   The Monte Skelton Band will be Clifs backing band for the evening. Monte and his band are the most popular contemporary jazz band in the New Harmony/Evansville area.

Get into the Holiday spirit with favorites like Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,

"You'd be so nice to come home to and Some children see him.

Clif will also perform originals including Peace Is More (Than The Absence of War) from his 2016 album Welcome To My World, currently on the ballot for a Grammy nomination--Best Jazz Vocal:

"Peace is more than the absence of war
Love can open up any door
Peace is more than the absence of war
Throw away the hatred if were gonna make it."

The CD track features Maxine Jones from En Vogue and Reggie Calloway from Midnight Star.
