Crowbar (New Orleans) - Southern Slude
An American sludge metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana, characterized by their extremely slow, low-keyed, heavy and brooding songs that also contain fast hardcore punk passages. Crowbar is considered to be one of the most influential metal bands to come out of the New Orleans metal scene. Their slow, heavy, and brooding style of metal is known to be influential in the sludge metal, doom metal, and stoner metal genres.

Lillake (LA)
Nico Santora briefly played with The Faceless live in 2012 and has since been a full-time axeman in Suicidal Tendencies. Add in Suicidal Tendencies drummer Eric Moore and Entheos bassist Evan Brewer and you've got a funky-type group that sounds like Opeth and Cynic? Yeah, I don't get it either, but I am absolutely in love with it.

Earthling (HVA) - Heavy Thrash
Earthling began in the early 2009 as a project between Harrisonburg VA natives Alan Fary (Guitar/Vox) & Brently Hilliard (Drums). After several short lived line-ups the band solidified with Praveen Chhetri (guitar) & Sean Weber (bass). Having released two three song demos, a 7 split and Extensive touring of the DIY circuit of the area, the band has crafted a crusty black thrashing heavy metal sound drawing influence from across the spectrum of heavy music.
