Abbey Rhode will be remembered as Rhode Islands' favorite Beatles tribute band.  Their genuine sound and 12 years of performances have made them local cultural icons and their concerts were always full with enthusiastic fans who have been following the band for many years. This is your last chance to see them perform and to sing and dance along to the  Beatles sounds . Come and say goodbye to Kevin, Mike, John and Ray and wish them well in their future endeavors.

Kevin Sullivan (Guitar)  Originally from Newport, RI, Kevins early musical influences were the artists who performed at the renowned Newport Jazz andFolk festivals. Later while living in NYC, he became an ASCAP writer, co-wrote NYs first Lotto jingle, and performed at the famed Bitter End.
Kevin played bass for Bo Diddley and opened for Jerry Garcia, Muddy Waters, David Crosby, Chuck Mangione, Ronnie Spector, Jorma Kaukonen, Cheryl Wheeler, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, and Jan & Dean. He also co-wrote and performed in the documentary film Hells Angels Forever.

Mike Jackson (Drums)  Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Mike was 5 years old in 64 when the Beatles invaded America. His Dad introduced him to the music of the greats, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa and Lionel Hampton, but Mike had a special fascination with Ringo. Mike started learning to play drums when he was 9, playing in school concert, symphony and marching bands. Mike loves all kinds of music, but his heart belongs to Rock n Roll. Now playing with Abbey Rhode,  he says Im back playing the music that inspired me to play drums in the first place. I couldnt be happier.

John Flanders (Guitar)  John is a native Newport son. He has been playing in bands for many a year in the Newport area. He has always enjoyed the British Invasion groups and took great care to hone the vintage sound of that era. His Vox amps, Gretsch and Rickenbacker guitars (photo) help make Abbey Rhode sound authentic.

Ray Davis (Bass Guitar)  Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area, Ray has performed with members of the Dixie Chicks, C.J. Chenier and Roomful of Blues. He was a founder of three popular RI based bands, Detroit Street, Little Brother and Blueblood (CD Baby) and has opened in concert for John Entwistle(The Who),NRBQ, Dave Mason, The Guess Who, Chuck Magione, Buddy Guy & Jr. Wells, Son Seals,Duke Robillard, Ronnie Earl, Roomful of Blues and others.
Ray has also performed and recorded with Kevin in the The Kevin Sullivan Band.
