All Aboard the Freedom Train! A musical and historical experience for all ages
The story of the Underground Railroad is one of the most exciting chapters of American history . . . one that holds great fascination, delight, and valuable lessons for people of all ages.
A great early freedom movement, in the time before the Civil War the"Railroad" was a triumph of spirit and action that still inspires people to action in America and around the world.
The songs . . . the codes . . . the passion . . . the emotion . . . It's all part of our legacy as Americans and as people of the global community.
Join renowned musicians and historical interpreters Kim and Reggie Harris in a vibrant exploration of this great network of passengers, conductors, shepherds, station masters . . . of slaves and free Blacks and committed citizens, from all walks of life, whose longing for freedom and passion for justice led them to achieve the remarkable triumph known also as the Freedom Train!
With group singing, storytelling, an award-winning multimedia presentation, and interactive fun, Kim and Reggie Harris bring history alive in ways that speak to the issues of the past and of our lives today!
