Monteverdi Vespers of 1610
A concert performance of one of the greatest works in the classical western tradition led by conductor and lutenist Stephen Stubbs
In a review in the Seattle Times of an Oct 2010 performance, critic Bernard Jacobson wrote of the Vespers and its director,
"this was an utterly thrilling Vespers, of a quality you are unlikely ever to encounter anywhere else in the world.
With its magnificent architecture and splendid acoustics, St. James Cathedral is the perfect location for this Venetian polychoral masterpiece.
