The featured artists utilize instruments such as analog synthesizers, home-brewed electronics, acoustic instruments, and laptop patches.
SFEMF has invited a distinctive group of artists from across the field of electronic music, including internationally-renowned sound artist William Basinski, Cluster founder Dieter Moebius, local legends Negativwobblyland, electro-acoustic artist James Fei, drone artist Damion Romero, guitar and electronic works by Chuck Johnson, interdisciplinary sound artist Richard Lerman, New York's live soldering trio Loud Objects, and the amplified gongs of Machine Shop.
