Piano Concert: African-American Musical Traditions
In celebration of CUUCs commitment to Black Lives Matter, Music Director Adam Kent performs solo piano works by composers of African descent as well as compositions inspired by African-American musical traditions by composers of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Program includes works Joplin, Gershwin, Debussy, and others, and opens with an interview with Cuban-American composer Tania Leon. Soprano Mary Lane Cobb makes a cameo appearance as well.
