In her brand-new cabaret show "Boychiks of Broadway", Alexis Fishman treads a Jewish journey along the path of the great composers of the Broadway stage. From the pianos and pens of Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin, through to contemporary composers like Stephen Schwartz and Jason Robert Brown, Jewish artists have defined Broadway for more than a century.
Come and join Alexis for a night of beautiful music and lyrics, and some great stories about the lives of Jewish composers you know and love.
Sydney born, New York based singer/actress Alexis Fishman is a Helpmann Award nominee, well known for starring roles in Dusty, Shout!, Kiss of the Spiderwoman and her own show Club Gelbe Stern. Alexis was named "Next Broadway Sensation" by the New York Musical Theatre Festival and has performed extensively in New York theatre and cabaret. She also proudly entertained Australian and US troops in the Middle East during the Iraq war and holds a Masters in International Relations from Deakin University, Melbourne.
Alexis will be joined on the plano by Tracy Stark.
