MARCA CASSITY is a bringer of acoustic soul-spirit songs. Raised in rural Oklahoma of Indian blood and blue collar sweat, hard work is no mystery to her, and it shows in her art and her expression. Soon outgrowing small town life, Marca set out on many inward and outward journeys, with her music and life being transformed by the influences of Pema Chodron, Ram Dass, Rumi, and transcendental music from around the world. Marca's early musical influences include Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, and Neil Young. The grace and grit of these roots combined with the circular energy of mantra leaves listeners touched, opened, and inspired to dig in the dirt. Her latest cd, "Deeper" is an amazing collection of songs that rock your soul and heal your mind and engage the heart. SHEILA NICHOLLS grew up in England and first found fame for performing cartwheels whilst streaking at an England vs. Australia cricket match at Lord's in May 1989. Nicholls soon travelled to the United States later and began performing with her band, Sheila Nicholls & the Splendid Frock, in New York City in the mid-1990s. Nicholls then moved to Los Angeles where she recorded a solo album, the critically acclaimed Brief Strop, and soon after signed a deal with Hollywood Records. She toured extensively with the album, including several gigs alongside k.d. lang. In mid-2002, Nicholls released her second album, Wake, in which she worked with producers Glen Ballard and Jez Colin. The album's first single, "Faith," reached the pop charts. Nicholls third album, "Songs from the Bardo" was released in August 2009, a collection of tunes focused around making the personal infinite and the infinite personal.
