DIVORCE - THE MUSICAL
Ruthe Ponturo and Rosemary Kalikow present:
DIVORCE, The Musical
better mad than sad
Some women seek therapy.
Some women seek plastic surgery.
Some women seek revenge with songs.
After 34 years of wedded bliss, reality hits Mrs. Ruthe Ponturo hard in the form of a classic mid-life cliché - her devoted husband suddenly announces that he wants a divorce.
Could he be lusting after a younger woman? Does he now want to hang out at single's bars? Does his sudden weight loss reflect a steamy affair?
What's a wife to do? Well if you're Ruthe, you do not crumble from heartbreak, suffer a nervous breakdown or wallow in self-pity. NO! Instead of sad, Ruthe gets mad expressing her entire divorce dilemma in 75 minutes by writing wickedly comedic songs.
