Corda Nova
The young, dynamic, Washington DC-based baroque music trio Corda Nova takes audiences on a journey to late 17th century Germany, where music was composed in the stylus fantasticus manner to showcase technical prowess with improvisational spirit. Corda Nova consists of Edmond Chan, baroque violin, Amy Domingues, viola da gamba and baroque cello, and Anthony Harvey, theorbo, and performs works by several German and Austrian composers who composed in this intriguing style, including Schmelzer, Biber, Erlebach, Krieger, and Kuhnel.
