HE SAID/SHE SAID: an election musical - HOMESCHOOL MATINEE
We at TheatreLAB are delighted to welcome our friends at Laughing Giraffe productions to Richmond as they launch the fall tour of their original, educational musical: HE SAID/SHE SAID!
HE SAID/SHE SAID: an election musical tells the story of Cy Bergin, an 8th Grader who wants to be Class President. She has all the ideas, but doesn't have the confidence to speak out in front of her fellow students. She convinces the popular jock, Chris Maxwell, to run for president using her ideas. Gradually as this scheme becomes more and more difficult, Cy learns to follow her own path and what it means to be a strong leader. Each character in this story realizes that they have something great to offer. HE SAID/SHE SAID inspires its audiences to raise their voices and have the confidence to pursue their dreams!
Aimed at late elementary and middle school students, and set to a fun pop-rock score, this show includes political vocabulary and examines what it means to have courage and stand up for what you believe in.
Your ticket purchase includes a digital download of educational materials about elections which you are encouraged to use with your students!
This performance will take place at TheatreLAB's venue, The Basement, at 300 East Broad Street in Downtown Richmond.
