COMMON FOUNDATION
Colorful, bright, and spirited, Common Foundation is a young group of some really talented individuals. They play a blend of reggae, rocksteady and uptempo ska, all outfitted with a big band style horn section. They'll move from soulful instrumentals with jazz influenced solos, to sing along melodies in three part harmony. Always enjoying their performance, and always bringing a smile, Common Foundation is a new Asheville band worth checking out.

CHALWA
Chalwa is based out of Asheville, NC and plays original High Country Reggae. The band consists of a diverse all-star line-up of local musicians from bands such as Ras Alan and The Lions, Asheville Horns, Hope Massive, Josh Phillips Folk Festival, and Wiseapple. After hitting the scene in 2006, Chalwa toured throughout the southeast US and Jamaica. The band has shared the stage with reggae greats such as: Midnite, Groundation, The Meditations, Bambu Station, SOJA, Pato Banton, and many more. Chalwa released it's first CD in 2009 and was voted one of the top World Music, Reggae bands by the MountainXpress in 2010. In support of their CD the band performed a live set on-air interview on WNCW, along with radio air play on Dubatomic Particles and Local Color. In 2011, Chalwa is releasing their second CD on Pinnacle Records and giving the people what they wantlive reggae music!

MARRIETTA'S PALM
Marrietta's Palm is a Reggae/Rock band comprised of four musicians with diverse styles and backgrounds. Although, they have united under the reggae/rock genres, you will also find hints of blues and jazz accompanied with psychedelic nuances. The band consists of Hunter Light (Guitar/Vocals), Eric Clark (Guitar/Vocals), Be Handy (Bass/Vocals), and Wyman Balcom (Drums). Marrietta's Palm stretches the boundaries of reggae and rock by incorporating the resounding echos and ambiance of what most consider dub. This four piece will rock the house, and keep the good vibes flowing with dubby reggae dance grooves. We come to jam, and bring the party to the people!
