Exodus To Jazz: The E. J. Strickland Quintet - REGRETFULLY CANCELLED
For one admission charge, enjoy two one-hour sets (with intermission) of E.J. Strickland, one of the most in-demand drummers on the jazz scene today. DownBeat Magazine described his drumming as emitting "fields of cumulative energy, clouds of feather-touch and heavy-handed syncopations, latent with power like an oncoming storm." In addition to leading his two groups, Strickland performs with leaders Ravi Coltrane, twin-brother Marcus Strickland, Cassandra Wilson, George Colligan and David Gilmore.
