Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert: Argus Quartet
Argus Quartets technical mastery is equaled only by its passionate commitment to arts education. Known for honoring historic chamber-music traditions, the quartet also works closely with living composers. The quartet performs Bartóks Fourth String Quartet, a visceral study in virtuosity and eerie night music; Christopher Theofanidiss Visions and Miracles, a work pulsing with energy and bathed in lyricism; and Robert Honsteins Arctic, inspired by photographs of the Alaskan landscape. Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted.
