The journey has begun
We are eagerly anticipating an exciting collaboration next season, when Volti will join ODC/Dance in fully staged performances of British composer Joby Talbots "Path of Miracles," an absolutely gorgeous evening-length depiction of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across Spain. Hear us sing the first movement, "Roncevalles," in concerts March 3 in Berkeley and March 4 in San Francisco.
The spiritual theme continues with the otherworldly soundscape of György Ligetis "Lux Aeterna," familiar to many from its use in Kubricks 2001: A Space Odyssey. Well also sing ibuoklé Martinaitytés "The Blue of Distance" and Ingrid Stölzels "Into Being." Finally, well give the world premiere of Berkeley composer Robin Estradas "Caeli Enarrant," a plea in these troubled times to do to others as you would have them do to you.
