In early 2016, pianist & composer Kevin Harris debuted his Invictus project, seeking to convey a message of strength and inspiration through the combination of interactive spoken word and the musical integration of black gospel, Afro-Latin, and swing music. I am thrilled that he'll reprise this project, which draws its title from a poem that helped sustain Nelson Mandela during his many years of imprisonment, in a return visit to Mandorla. Joining Harris for this performance will be Jonathan Hoard on vocals, Jason Palmer on trumpet, Hery Paz on tenor saxophone, Fernando Huergo on electric bass and Steve Langone on drums.
