The Extraordinary Ignatius Sancho (Northwest Cellars)
Composer, author, playwright, abolitionist, and businessman Ignatius Sancho was born on a slave ship in 1729 and became the first Black Briton to vote in a parliamentary election. Join acclaimed tenor Zach Finkelstein and the EMU House Band for a celebration of Sancho's extraordinary life through his music, writings, and the music of his London contemporaries.
