Gustavo and Laura Camacho: horn and violin program on BMC Night Beat
Dynamic Duo, WWU Professors Laura and Gustavo Camacho (violin and horn) are joined by Victor Cayres, who serves on piano faculty at Boston University School of Music.
The main piece on the program will be the Brahms Horn Trio, Op. 40, written in 1865, the same year he wrote the German Requiem. The trio is 30 minutes of perfect, sublime writing. Other works include a refreshing version of Erik Satie's Gnossienne No. 1 that will fuse minimalism with tango and gypsy jazz improvisation.
