Bobby Shew & Trio - Music in Corrales
A perennial favorite, Albuquerque native and Corrales resident Bobby Shew has had a love affair with his trumpet and jazz since the age of twelve, and has played with brilliant passion ever since. He has played with the big bands of Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Benny Goodman and others, and he has the stories to go with the music
For this concert Bobby Shew will be joined by his Trio, composed of Jim Ahrend at piano, Colin Deuble on bass, and Cal Haines on drums. They will play famous ballads from the history of Tin Pan Alley and film music -- all beautiful, romantic tunes that became legendary in American music.
