Lysander Piano Trio

This rising, award-winning classical ensemble was personally selected by world-renowned violinist Midori (after her sold-out performance in Rio Rancho last year) to perform for us in our 30th Anniversary season as a Partners in Performance Young Artist Recital at the Rio Rancho High School. The New York Times has praised the Lysander Piano Trio for its "rich sound and nuanced musicianship . . . and finely tuned collaboration." Its members are Juilliard graduates Liza Stepanova, piano; Itamar Zorman, violin; and Michael Katz, cello.

The Trio's program will include the Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor (Dumky) by Antonin Dvoák; Rachmaninoff's Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G minor; Haydn's Trio in F-sharp minor, Hob. XV:26; and The Black Mirror, written for Lysander Piano Trio by Jakub Ciupinski.
