John Oliver (electronics/composer) and Marina Hasselberg (cello) present "light ripple light":

Performing in public for the first time as a duo, these well-known Vancouver musicians have been working together this summer to create intense, sometimes dense, beautiful soundscapes in real time, performing on their native instruments and other found objects. In some works, John Oliver prepares dense orchestral-sounding sonic environments which Marina Hasselberg activates with her cello. In other works, the two begin from silence. The metaphor of ripple and light pervades.

TICKETS:
Please purchase your tickets online in advance in order to reserve your seat (small venue!). If there are tickets available on the day of the concert, you can purchase yours at the door (cash only).

ARRIVAL TIME:
Please arrive between 7.30 and 8pm because our host has to let you in the building (door closes at 8pm). There are only 40 seats, so that is one more reason to arrive early! The Gold Saucer is a very casual and friendly venue, where you can have drinks and make friends, so come early (7.30pm) and stay for a drink after the show!
