Portraits in Song
Portraits in Song is a song cycle, inspired by the emotional lives of women, was created by Baltimore based song-and-story alchemist, Ellen Cherry. The songs are accompanied by large scale projected portraits created by Liz Downing. Over the course of eleven songs and portraits that are unveiled in historical order, cherry gathers the audience together in a spirit of empathy and takes them on time travel journey from ancient Greece into the future.
