THE ELWINS - Ontario-based indie pop outfit The Elwins have garnered an impressive pile of attention and praise considering their relative youth. From performing alongside acts like Tokyo Police Club, Arkells and Sweet Thing or at festivals including SXSW, CMW, POP Montreal, and the Halifax Pop Explosion to being heralded an "act to watch" by tastemakers like Exclaim!, CBC Radio 3, and Torontoist.com, The Elwins have rapidly risen the rungs of the Canadian independent music scene and all without a full-length offering to their name; however, that's set to change with the release of their highly-anticipated long-player And I Thank You.

BEHIND SAPPHIRE - Even the adventurous Behind Sapphire couldn't have imagined the things that would happen to them this year. The group spent the first three months of 2011, on the road, touring the vast Canadian continent in support of their self-titled debut album. Their music video for "Oh My, What a Fine Day," staring actress Jodelle Ferland, hit semi-viral status on YouTube. The song was featured in hit TV series Degrassi, and the video was eventually picked up by Much Music. In May 2011, Behind Sapphire was selected as one of BC's Top 20 artists in the Peak Performance Project.
