Rising in part from the ashes of Alejandro Jodorowsky's failed DUNE project, ALIEN is a gorgeously and intricately designed nightmare come to life, courtesy of Scott's brilliant direction and featuring unparalleled illustration and previsualization work by Jean 'Moebius' Giraud, Ron Cobb, Chris Foss and H.R. Giger among others.
Sigourney Weaver became a star overnight in her first feature film role as Ripley. The cast also features a who's who of extraordinary 1970s character actors--Yaphet Kotto, Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, and Ian Holm.
