Downton Abbey 1926 Vintage Banquet Immersive Experience
Once again we bring you the fabulous Downton Abbey Vintage Banquet Experiences; our best-selling immersive costume affair dining experience. Guest experience an authentic aristocratic, exquisite, intimate, and yes fun interactive banquet complete with footmen and actors portraying most interesting guests. This three and half hour experience includes cocktail reception, five-courses paired with wines, champagne & cognac, musical and dramatic performances.
With the same exacting care, Lex 18's guests will be transported back in time to the fashion and culture in tandem with the episode. This costumed affair is an extraordinary opportunity to experience the leisure and style of an aristocratic dinner accompanied by great conservation, good cheer and new acquaintances.
Space is limited to 18 guests. Early ticket purchase is recommended for this extraordinary food, libation and immersive drama experience set in the grand style of one of the most watched and beloved Masterpiece programs in the world, Downton Abbey.

THE SETTING:
Lex 18's historic 1920s dining room is remodeled to a resplendent post-Edwardian style complete with all the finery from this popular historic era. Centered under its gold ceiling, a 20-foot long banquet table is lavishly dressed in velvets with Royal Dalton and French Limoges china, lavish floral arrangements in crystal, silver candelabras, fine linens and vintage cut crystal water, wine and champagne glasses. 'Footmen' in tails and the head butler serve guests a five-course wine and champagne dinner from the menus of Downton Abbey. The extravagant banquet is made all the more fabulous by 'hosts' personifying Asheville's version of the Crawley aristocracy and special visiting guest all very pampered by the lively servants.
EVENING DETAILS:
At 6:30pm the evening begins with vintage period cocktails. During the cocktail reception, guests are treated to an enlivening 10-minute presentation covering music, arts, fashion and culture of Asheville in 1925.
At 7:10pm the butler will announce dinner. In the style of an aristocratic banquet of the 1920's personalized place cards note where footmen will seat guest pairs across from one another. This dinner affair includes a magnificent candlelit room set with beautiful china, fine silverware, crystal glasses, floral centerpieces and the leisurely feast classic of a grand manor. Throughout the evening, Downton Abbey styled footmen are at the ready to serve an exquisite five-course meal resplendent with fine wines and champagne.
During dinner, guests will interactively experience the characteristic wit of American aristocratic hosts similar to that of the Crawley family. Guest will witness and be drawn into titillating conversations and ambitions all deliciously set against the backdrop of 1926.
A brief intermission includes an invitation by the American hosts to the bar for a moonshine cordial, while the table is redressed for the finale experience. At 9:00pm guests are reseated for champagne and dessert complemented with silver service coffee and tea and, or, port and cognac service. A surprise musical and dramatic performance sets for a wonderful finale with leisure time to gossip and enjoy the company of new acquaintances.
DRESS:
This is a white tie optional formal dinner. For gentlemen, if a tuxedo is not an option, then dark suit with tie or bow tie is acceptable. For ladies, evening gown or vintage costume from the era is perfect. For those with theatrical pleasures, this is an occasion where you may want to create or impersonate a persona from the 1920s.

Each guest will receive event details and special information via email. All tickets are non-refundable. We apologize but we are unable to offer a lower price ticket for "without alcohol service". Each Friday a welcome email with instructions and the menu will be emailed to guests. Guests are able to list food allergies and restrictions during the ticket purchasing or can call Lex 18 directly.
