Early Music Voices - Ode on St. Cecilia's Day (VoiceScapes & a New Period Instrument Ensemble)

Winning instant popularity in his time, Purcell's Ode on St. Cecilias Day (1692) is a rich and varied work including exuberant choruses, wondrous solos and amorous duets. The first half of the program will include J.S. Bachs Orchestral Suite #2. This concert will feature a brand new period instrument ensemble conducted by Claude Lapalme,
along with VoiceScapes and guest singers.
This new period instrument ensemble has been created by Claude Lapalme due to the growing interest in early music performance in the province. Seeing plenty of opportunities for such a group along with the wealth of talented players interested in period-instrument performance, Claude has decided it is time to make his dream a reality!
