Art of the Song is a public radio program heard on over 100 stations across North America. Hosts John Dillon and Viv Nesbitt interview songwriters and talk about creative process.
Melissa Monforti is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer and author based in Golden, Colorado. She started writing songs in 1999 and began recording and writing about her life as a songwriter in March 2015. It took her a while to live into her authentic life as a musician, but she's living it fully without excuses now.
Born on the summer solstice of 1970 in Brooklyn, NY, Melissa grew up in a family of amateur and very talented musicians, always surrounded by people willing to whip up Latin dance parties and sing doo-wop in rich harmonies at every gathering.
