Cellar Sessions
Another wonderful afternoon in the barrel room at Old Oak Cellars hosted by Brad Colerick featuring Robert Rex Waller, Jr. and Eli Locke. Tickets are $22 advance/$25 door. Light snacks are provided along with complimentary wine tasting. Bring something to share/enjoy with your wine. $5 from each bottle sold goes to MusiCares. Dress warmly the wines like it cold!
I See Hawks in L.A.s frontman, Robert Rex Waller, Jr., is one of Californias most prolific and profound songwriters. This summer, hes putting his writers pen aside and releasing an album of covers, Fancy Free (available everywhere July 1st, 2016). The new solo album summons works from brilliant obscure artists (Daniel Johnston, Cliff Edwards) and icons of popular music alike (Neil Young, Bob Dylan) taking listeners into a soundscape of exuberance, heartache, and everything in between. Joining him in the RRWJr Trio are key collaborator and producer Marc Doten (The Negro Problem, Stew, Double Naught Spy Car) on bass and keyboards and elegant violinist Nora Germain (Tommy Emmanuel, Jon Batiste, Martin Taylor).
