Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand - Special Concert
Rounding out Redwood Symphony's second cycle of all eleven symphonic creations of Gustav Mahler, we are proud to present the Eighth, one of the most monumental of all musical creations, using a gigantic orchestra, seven vocal soloists, two large choruses, a childrens chorus, an extra brass band and an organ. The grand first movement is a setting of a Latin hymn, while the hour-long second movement captures the final scene of Goethes Faust.
Join us for one of our biggest events ever!
