Diamondz & Gold: A Gift of Music to the Children of Camp Rainbow Gold
Camp Rainbow Gold is an organization that provides year-round programs such as medically supervised camps, college sponsorships, and other emotionally empowering experiences to Idahos children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and their support networks.
CRG has three camps: a youth, teen, and survivor/lost sibling camp. They dont currently have any permanent musical equipment for these kids to use, in fact, theyve been around since the 80s, and they dont even have permanent guitars! We all know how healing music and the making of music can be for the soul, so Diamondz Event Center is going to help bring music to the children of CRG.
On Saturday, 06/25/16 from 7pm to 1am, wed like to invite you to bring your quality unused instruments to Diamondz to be donated to the children of CRG. Sit and enjoy the music of local bands, then at the end of the show, those performing musicians will autograph the donated instruments and theyll be presented to representatives of the Camp.
Were not looking for junk, we are looking for equipment that youd be proud to give to your children: Guitars, bells, keyboards, classical instruments, drums (youth & adult), etc, preferably instruments that dont have a mouthpiece. Our goal is to be able to supply these kids with everything they need to be able to sit down and churn out a song together.
Well be recording video messages from the performing musicians and audience to be presented to the children, messages of hope and comfort. This will be a very special, intimate evening that you shouldnt miss.
Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 day of show, all of which goes to CRG for musical endeavors, as will a major portion of proceeds from the night.
Any cash donations will also be accepted to go towards the musical needs of this wonderful organization. New band merchandise such as CDs, hats, shirts, and the like are also welcomed and given to representatives of CRG for the children.
This is an ALL AGES event.
