WordSong Forum IX: "Song"
One poem, four songs, an interactive concert.
Wordsong returns, bringing its engaging approach to concerts with four new settings of Thomas Lovell Beddoes's "Song". The songs are by Boston-based composers Howard Frazin, Tom Schnauber, and Adam Simon, and Philadelphia composer Donald St.Pierre. They will be performed by Grammy Award-winning soprano Ilana Davidson. WordSong is both a performance and a dialogue that seeks to reconnect musicians and audiences through shared, active artistic experiences and to create a community of listeners and musicians. It is a public conversation about intuitive musical understanding.
