Samirah Evans Sings Gershwin-Featuring selections from Porgy and Bess.
Samirah Evans musical style is heavily influenced by the New Orleans sound where she was one of the citys most popular and in-demand singers. She has toured internationally and has shared stages with the likes of James Brown, B.B. King, Sheila Jordan, Terence Blanchard, Irma Thomas and Charles Neville. Evans will be accompanied by the George Kaye Quintet featuring pianist Miro Sprague.
