Self Help
This course is designed to be an introductory course to rock self-rescue. The course will focus on the following skills:
Escaping the belay Friction hitches Load releasable hitches Improvised rope ascension
This class is a great intro to the topic or a good refresher course for those who have already have experience.
Participants must have a basic understanding of climbing and be able to comfortably lead 5.8 or above outside to register.
Participants will have to provide basic climb gear including:
Harness 2-3 lockers belay device 2-3 non locking carabiners 2 double length and shoulder length slings
