Aurora Chorus presents a program with music and words to inspire wonder and to help us remember to listen for "the hush in your soul / the cry fear won't still /... to hear a sigh's startling trill in your soul." *
Exciting contemporary choral settings by American composers Gwyneth Walker, David Brunner and Joan Szymko are heard alongside the timeless beauty of music by Bach and Brahms and the sounds of music made popular by Louis Armstrong, Cris Williamson and Holly Near. Simply beautiful music about what makes us human- the capacity for awe, and for love.

There are two concerts: 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Click the arrow next to the date below to choose a performance. Seating begins 30 minutes before each performance.
All tickets are for open (non-reserved) seats.
Tickets can be mailed to you at no charge or held in Will Call for pickup.
Arts for All tickets are available for patrons with SNAP cards (limit 2 tickets per card - show card at Will Call). Under 30 tickets are available for $10. These tickets cannot be ordered on-line and must be picked-up from Will Call.

Since 1992, Aurora Chorus has honored the strength and beauty of women's lives through the fine art of choral singing. Aurora was founded on the belief that music can be a powerful instrument of peace--locally, globally, and in the hearts of all who sing and all who listen.
Directed by renowned choral composer Joan Szymko, Aurora Chorus is made up of 100 singers from the Portland/Vancouver metro area.
