Spark & Whisper is the musical collaboration of Anita Sandwina & Velvy Appleton, singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists from the SF Bay Area.
In performance, Spark & Whisper are pursuing transcendence, guiding and transporting the audience out of the mundane, into moments of higher consciousness and connection, and to an acknowledgment of our common humanity, our connected spirit. It is a wonderful thing to experience.
Claudia Russells eclectic folk music contains traces of all her musical loves--blues, western swing, rock and country, drawing from original compositions, obscure gems, folk and pop classics and contributions from her many talented friends. Russell quickly wins audiences with her powerful voice and signature guitar voicings.
