Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island
Featuring seventeen of the region's most exceptional female jazz artists, the Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra showcases high intensity jazz, tight harmonies, and lush dynamic sounds. Since its inception in 2000, SWOJO's polished style has thrilled audiences in North and South America, performing at festivals, clubs and concert halls with many distinguished artists. Their musical director, Daniel Barry, Ph.D., recently was honored with a Fulbright Scholarship and will serve as Composer-In-Residence at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil, in 2012. Their show at Bloedel Reserve will be under a big tent on the lawn in front of the picturesque Bloedel mansion. www.swojo.org
