What happens when you place the The Sound of Music inside a zombie apocalypse? A whole lot of AWESOME!

In a world that has survived countless disasters, humankind finds their most frightening threat from a race of power-hungry Nazombies bent on taking over the world. As governments collapse, humanity looks to leaders of faith for help from this evil, and a young zombie fighting warrior named Maria emerges to save the day. When the VonTrapped family is caught behind Nazombie lines, Maria is sent in to teach them how to survive. But danger may be closer than they think as the charming Baroness brings in her political advocacy group, Humans for Life After Death. With a rock n roll soundtrack and an irreverent attitude, The Sound of Uzis is a wild take on the beloved classic musical, complete with zombie dance numbers, video components, and audience participation.

The Mash-Up Rock n Roll Musical Troupe has been bringing their original mash-up musicals to Traverse City since 2014, including their previous productions of How Grinchy Met the Who and Grimms Alternative Fairytales.

This production is aimed at adults but is suitable for most ages so long as they enjoy loud rock 'n roll music, satire, and zombies.
