Looking ahead to Spring 2016, BHOS will present Vivaldi's "Gloria" and Part Two of Handel's "Messiah" at the time of year it was originally intended. The performance is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, 3 PM at the Zankel Music Center on the Skidmore Campus.
At the podium will be the new Artistic Director of Burnt Hills Oratorio Society, Dr. William Jon Gray. Dr. Gray brings a rich background in vocal performance, choral and orchestral conducting. He recently returned to his hometown of Delmar, NY to accept the position as Director of Choral Studies at the University at Albany. Before his appointment at S.U.N.Y. Albany, he was chair of the choral department at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
