Synopsis: Inspired by the filmmaker's own true story, Coming Through the Rye follows a 16 year- old boy in 1969 who is desperate to be worldly. After stumbling through disastrous relationships at boarding school, he travels with a local town girl to the mountains of New Hampshire in search of J.D. Salinger, the reclusive author of The Catcher in the Rye.
