Folkadelphia presents: Kath Bloom with Lac La Belle and Cave Country
On Friday, June 15th, Folkadelphia is honored to present an intimate performance from legendary songwriter Kath Bloom. Kath has been a fixture of the independent American folk scene since the early '70s, when she began a fruitful musical partnership with avant-garde guitarist Loren MazzaCane Connors. In 1995, Bloom's song "Come Here" was featured in a decade-defining scene of Richard Linklater's seminal film 'Before Sunrise.' Her latest album, Thin Thin Line was released in 2010 on Mark Kozelek's Caldo Verde Records and is as tender and emotional as she's always been. She will be releasing a new EP Here I Am in late June. Also performing are Lac La Belle (from Detroit) and Cave Country (from California). Staged at the gorgeous Studio 34 space in West Philly, you will not want to miss this concert of some of the best contemporary folk musicians.
