Cellar Sessions
Another magical Sunday afternoon in the barrel room at Old Oak Cellars in Pasadena on March 13, 2016.
Complimentary Wine tasting begins at 3pm followed by warm acoustics & close harmonies by CALICO the band at 3:45 pm and Ted Russell Kamp will take the stage at 4:45.
Ted Russell Kamp talented multi-instrumentalist. "....His impressive musicianship connects with great compositions, and excellent singing - perfect in its simplicity." His music is a combination of classic singer-songwriter music with hints of country and soul. It reflects the sound of the many cities and cultures Kamp has become familiar with and the cities he calls his homes away from home.
The best of L.A's country past, present and future clearly emerges from Calico's debut. In the hands and spirit of these gifted ladies, Americana is reborn in the spirit of Laurel Canyon; the spirit of the great songwriters (Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Still & Nash, Jackson Browne, etc.) who flourished there. It's there in lyrics which speak with the urgency of modern times, with music of great passion and beauty, cloaked in warm acoustics and close harmonies.
