Sadie Hawkins Day
These folks are known for distinctive, high-energy hammered-dulcimer playing on traditional fiddle tunes and for homegrown vocal harmonies and toe-tapping grooves on old folk ballads, banjo songs, and old country standards of love & heartbreak, moonshine & madness, trucks & trains, and random oddments. They go old-school on Americana for sure, but don't be surprised if you hear them do something from Neil Young, The Band, or The Beatles once in a while. Their 2015 CD, "O Me, Oh My! It's Sadie Hawkins Day!" made three of KDHX's end-of-year top ten lists!
