Sony Holland Quintet

It would be difficult to find a harder working musician in the Bay Area than Sony Holland. For the past two years she has worked 3-5 nights a week at various hotel gigs, and has performed in concert as well private events. Most of that has been in duo format with her guitarist/husband,
Jerry Holland. The steady work has allowed the pair to find a rare synchronicity. For this Sound Room date, Sony brings a terrific band to fill out the duos tight arrangements. Its intimate, compact and economical to work as a duo, but we love to have the energy and collaboration of a full band of great musicians, Sony says. Rounding out the group are some of the Bay Areas finest Lee Bloom on keyboards, Ruth Davies on bass and Mark Lee on drums. The Sony Holland Quintet will be performing selections from Sonys broad repertoire of standards, eclectic
songs and original material.
