Miro Sprague, Solo Jazz Piano

Miro Sprague returns to Third Life Studio for an evening of dynamic jazz piano improvisation featuring original music and creative arrangements of jazz classics.

Miro Sprague is a jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader known for his dynamic performance style and inspiring creativity. He leads his own trio and quintet in addition to his work as a solo pianist. Miro has toured the United States, Europe, and Japan and has performed with many jazz masters including Wayne Shorter, Jerry Bergonzi, Matt Wilson, Karrin Allyson, and Greg Osby.

A western MA native, Miro is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music and the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA. While at the Institute he the opportunity to perform and teach internationally and work with jazz legends such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter and Jimmy Heath. Miro was a semifinalist in the 2015 Montreux Jazz Festival Piano Competition and has released four studio albums, including his latest release, "Blue Dreaming".
